I don’t think anyone really reads this blog of mine but its really more like a publicly viewable journal of sorts. I haven’t posted in awhile but its time to update my site again, as you can see I have changed the theme. It looks pretty snazzy if you ask me. Comment below if you like it!

The Call!

You may be wondering why the title of this post is “The Call”. Well simply put its talking about the call of God on my life. Sarah (the love of my life, my girlfriend) went to a camp last year before I ever knew she existed.

That camp is called “Camp Tejas”, she loved it and told me I would as well! I didn’t think much about it and continued on without giving it a second thought. Then the other day I suddenly started feeling called or beckoned to start interacting with kids more. I volunteer with Sarah at CBC on either Saturday night or Sunday mornings. I really love the kids of CBC and would love to interact with them more.

Anyways long story short, I remember what Sarah had said about the camp. I suddenly realized I was being called to attend camp tejas with the CBC group. I sent a letter to the man in charge and am waiting on his response if I can go or not. (Pray for me guys).

This really would be a great stepping stone for me to spend time with these kids that I already like. It would also be fun for me to get away for a week from the normal daily grind and just be around fun loving kids!

I hope I get to go and its impacting for my life and the kids I am around! Your prayers are welcomed!

That’s all I have to say and I know this post is short but im stretched for time!

Like with most sports I was a natural at the sport and I really enjoy playing. Its challenging but not so much that someone cant pickup and learn to play within a couple hrs play time.

Its one of those sports that everyone can enjoy and have a good time doing.

I was hoping you all could help me out, I want to buy a better volleyball because the one I have is hard and hurts to hit. Whats the best brand for under $50 that wont hurt to bad when you hit it? I know there out there but I wanted to know your thoughts on it guys!

I was excited to play because I have never played actual football with guys before, just catch in the backyard really. Well I got there early (my usual early self) and waited for about 15 minutes. That’s when things started to happen, I was checking my email on my iPhone and listening to my music minding my own business.

BANG, BANG, BANG!!! Michael Blain was pounding on my window letting me know he had arrived (luv you bro).

Well it scared me silly to say the least!

Anyhow, after about 20 more minutes everyone had showed up and we started playing, I was QB for a couple of downs and then another guy showed up so David took over as All QB.

It was very fun but I’m feeling it today, I have sore ribs, sore legs and it hurts to breath really deep because of the bruises!

But it was well worth it for the fun I had and I will be going next week, hopefully I can get pics or videos for you guys one day but for now just dream!

Oh yea that brings me to the More Pain part, see while we were playing I took Michael down (by accident) it hurt his knee real bad and he ended up going to the ER that night to get it all checked out, turns out he tore a muscle in his knee and maybe a ligament to but he says he is ready for this Saturday!

I am hoping Chris can show up to football, I offered to pick him up if he needs me to and I also told Nathan who lives down the street I could take him as well if he wanted, so it will be one packed party in my car to and from the game!

It was a nice refreshing group of people to be around, they were all very nice and the worship team is simply awesome! I really enjoyed the praise and worship service, I will be going back to this group at least a couple more times.

Well the message was pretty good, Aron had invited us to come hear him speak and he was a little nervous (sorry if I spelled your name wrong Aron, just hit me with an email and I will fix it!). The message was about not focusing so much on our weaknesses and rather give them to God while we continue to work in our strengths.

The freaky part is that in my daily devotional this morning it was on the exact same topic… I am thinking the Lord is trying to tell me something? Well I will continue to stay in prayer about it and hopefully come to a resolve on the matter soon.

Back to the group though, I also met Jose for the first time and he is a total breath of fresh air! He has a blog over at http://wrongmetaphor.blogspot.com, he is a really good writer and I will be doing my best to follow his blog and comment (you should to guys).

I have also added his link to my blog-roll on the side-bar, well that about sums the night up…

OH!!! On the way home me and Shera stopped by Taco Cabana for some flour tortillas but then I drove like a drunk person the way home because I was trying to eat while driving (big mistake) however we made it home safe and overall the night was great.
